This very special event was started by Rachel Wright, a remarkable woman who had a spinal cord injury due to a riding accident when she was just 21 years old. This race day has continued in her memory and has evolved into an annual event that regularly raises thousands of pounds for Spinal Research.

With eight weeks of FREE training included and no sign-up fees, all we ask is that you:

- Eight weeks of FREE training: Our expert-led sessions are perfect for beginners and will get you fit, confident, and fight-ready.
- Raising a minimum of £50 for Spinal Research: Your support helps fund groundbreaking research to restore movement, sensation, and independence for people with spinal cord injuries.

How much does this cost?
To sign up for this event, it is completely free. However, by signing up you are committing to sell 10 places on the event and fundraise a minimum of £50 for Spinal Research.
Can i take part if i have a disability?
Unfortunately these events are not suitable for wheelchair users for safety reasons. To find wheelchair friendly events, please click here.

What is the minimum age limit to take part?
The minimum age required is 18. Everyone who wishes to attend the events must also be over 18.
What happens after i sign up?
- You will receive a confirmation text and email from us inviting you to join a Facebook group. Please make sure you join this group as information will be posted in there across the 8 weeks.
- Your givestar fundraising page will be automatically created and you will receive an email from Ultra Events fundraising team.
- We are on hand to support so please reach out to us for fundraising support – Events@spinal-research.org
- You will receive a text from your Area Coordinator within 14 days of signing up.
- We will invite you along to a registration meeting where we will give you all of the information about the process and give you chance to ask any questions.
- Training starts!
When you sign up an account will be created for you. You can find all Ultra events you have sign up for in your Ultra account. Your account page will also display links to the event Facebook page, givestar fundraising link and much more. Login to your Ultra account here. If you have trouble accessing your account for the first time, select the reset password option and follow the instructions.

What will Training be like?
Be prepared to be put through the paces. It will be hard, but it will be the most rewarding thing that you will do and will give you a sense of achievement.
Training will be approximately 2 sessions a week and will be weekday evenings or weekends.
You must attend at least 50% of the training sessions to take part.
Details about the training sessions will be released at the Registration Meeting and followed up in your allocated Facebook group.
What Kit do i need to buy?
You will need 16oz gloves, hand wraps and a gum shield for training. For fight night you will need to buy Shorts and a Groin Guard. Ultra White Collar Boxing will provide vests, gloves & head guards on the event night.
You can purchase equipment directly through Ultra Events shop All equipment is available to buy from their shop. You do not have to purchase from Ultra Events if you want to source it elsewhere.

Join #TeamSpinal on the world’s largest and best fun run. The ‘Inflatable 5K’ has got even bigger and bouncier. Their Unique Inflatable Obstacle Course Race (OCR) has less running and even more obstacles in 2024. New obstacles, new pumping Music Zones and new locations. It is going to be epic!
Available to book at 19 locations across the UK with various dates to choose from, all year round.

FAQs:
Is there a minimum age for taking part in the Inflatable 5k?
Yes, all participants taking a charity place on the Inflatable 5k must be aged 18 or older on race day.
Children can enter with non-charity places through their website.
What is the registration fee and how much do I have to fundraise?
The registration fee is £30.00 and we ask all our charity place fundraisers to raise as much as possible.
Will I get a fundraising top to wear on the day?
Absolutely, we love to send our team a technical t-shirt to wear during the run. We will even get you an iron on name so you can personalise it.
Can I withdraw?
Please note that as we work with our partner RunforCharity for these places, we cannot guarantee that withdrawals will be able to postpone their place. Please contact us to get started.
Can I take part if I have a disability?
Unfortunately due to the nature of the course, this event is not suitable for wheelchair runners.

Join #TeamSpinal for the adrenaline rush of a lifetime as you raise essential funds to help cure paralysis.
This challenge promises an unforgettable experience coupled with an unrivalled sense of achievement.
Plus, you’ll be joining the ranks of an amazing team of people who are all dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people suffering from paralysis due to their spinal cord injuries.
How does it work?:
If you are up for the challenge of taking on a Tandem Skydive in aid of Spinal research, signing up couldn’t be easier!
To complete your booking, you will be asked to pay a £70 deposit and commit to a £395 fundraising target. This fundraising target will cover your deposit, jump cost and £125 sponsorship to us. Anything raised above the minimum amount, means a larger donation to help cure paralysis.
Once you have signed up, you will be asked to create a JustGiving page and share this directly with Skyline. Your chosen airfield will be in touch with you closer to the date to confirm any final details.

Is there a minimum age for taking part in Tough Mudder?
All participants must be aged 18 or older on event day.
What is the registration fee and how much do I have to fundraise?
For now, you can pay for your place via Tough Mudder, and then all you have to do is fundraise as much as you can for Spinal Research. Places start from £70.00.
As soon as we have charity places available, these will be announced along with their fundraising targets.
Will I get a fundraising top to wear on the day?
Absolutely, we love to send our team a technical t-shirt to wear during the event.
Can I take part if I have a disability?
Absolutely! Tough Mudder have a policy that adventure is a human right, and have done their best to make their events accessible to as many people as possible. For more information on their Adaptive Athletes Program, click here.
