Apply Now!FAQs:
Is there a minimum age for taking part in the Newscastle 10k?
Yes, all participants in the Newcastle 10k must be aged 18 or older on Marathon Day – you will be asked to confirm your age when you enter the event.
What is the registration fee and how much do I have to fundraise?
The registration fee for Great Scottish Run is £20.00 and we ask all our charity place fundraisers to raise a minimum of £120.00
Please note there is a first fundraising target of £60.00 which is due on the 18th October 2024. The remainder of your fundraising target (£60.00) is due 4 weeks after the event.
Will I get a fundraising top to wear on the day?
Absolutely, we love to send our team a technical t-shirt to wear during the run. We will even get you an iron on name so you can personalise it.
These are usually sent out after your first fundraising target.
How will I get my race pack?
Your race number will be assigned to you at registration. To collect your number you need to make your way down to the collection desks on Saturday Morning. It will take around 15 minutes to collect your number. The earlier you get there, the more efficient we will be on the day. If you have your own pins then that would be great but we will have supplies if needed.
Your timing chip will be attached to the bottom of your race bib. Please remove the strip and attach it to your shoe shiny side up as per the instructions on the back of the chip. Please make sure you keep your number on at all times during the race. At the finish, you can dispose of your chip (we do not need to collect them back).
When you receive your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief runner Information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency!
Can I take part if I have a disability?
I have a ballot place and would like to fundraise for Spinal Research. Can I do this and will I have a fundraising target?
Congratulations on securing a place in the ballot – we would love to have you join #TeamSpinal! Please select ‘Own Ballot place’ above.
As an own place runner, you won’t have a fundraising target. We just ask that you raise as much as possible so you can to help us fund essential research.
