How do marathon relays work? You can read RealBuzz’s handy article here but basically you’ll put together a team of four and split the course and the fundraising target (only £250 each) so you each run a quarter of the distance, with designated hand offs across the route. A perfect way to enjoy the sights of this spectacular course but share the distance with your running buddies. The lead runner should register and pay the refundable deposit on behalf of the team then you’ll be asked to share the names of your team mates and set up your team fundraising page!
The course offers an unmatched route through history culminating at the world-famous Colosseum and including famous sights including St. Peter’s Basilica, the Spanish Steps and the Piazza Navona. FAQs:
Is there a minimum age for taking part in the Run4Rome Relay?
Yes, all participants in the Run4Rome Relay must be aged 18 or older on Event Day – you will be asked to confirm your age when you enter the event.
What is the registration fee and how much do I have to fundraise?
The registration fee for the Run4Rome Relay is £49.00 and we ask all our charity place fundraisers to raise a minimum of £1000.00 – this will be split between your team members.
Please note there is a first fundraising target of £750.00 which is due on 24/01/2025. The remainder of your fundraising target £250.00 is due 4 weeks after the event.
Will I get a fundraising top to wear on the day?
Absolutely, we love to send our team a technical t-shirt to wear during the run.
These are usually sent out after your first fundraising target.
How will I get my race pack?
You will be able to collect your bib (and the race pack) at the Expo Run Rome The Marathon. The Expo will be open to the public on Friday 14 March and Saturday 15 March from 9:00am to 8:00pm at the Palazzo dei Congressi, Piazza John Kennedy, 1, 00144 Roma RM.
Recommended underground stops to reach the Expo:
- Eur Fermi (blue line B) 10 min on foot (800m)
