The power to make curing paralysis the greatest medical breakthrough of the 21st century
You can help to cure paralysis with a gift in your Will. Gifts in Wills helped to fund our Pathfinder2 clinical trial. Ten people with a chronic spinal cord injury completed 120 sessions testing a therapy that combined spinal cord stimulation technology with activity-based rehabilitation.
At the start of 2025, we published remarkable results from the trial. Many participants showed significant
improvements in upper body strength, trunk control, and balance. Some participants:
- Experienced major gains in hand grip, and dexterity.
- Recovered movement in their hands and legs.
- Regained bladder and bowel control.
- Continued making progress after completing all their sessions.
At the end of 2025, this technology was approved in the UK making it the first ever therapy designed and licensed for the treatment of spinal cord injuries. This milestone marks a huge step towards a cure.
Power research that transforms lives for generations to come
Your gift could power more life-changing research and clinical trials that help bring more new treatments and therapies to people living with spinal cord injuries. By choosing to leave a gift in your Will, you can help to cure paralysis and restore freedom and independence to thousands of people.
Together we will make curing paralysis the greatest medical breakthrough of the 21st century.
Isn’t this a legacy worth leaving?
