Changing the future of spinal cord injury

Alba Guijarro Belmar

Alba joined Dr Wenlong Huang at Institution of Medical Sciences, University of Aberdeen in 2015. Her PhD is on the use of biomedical fibre scaffolds to guide nerves to grow across the injury site in a spinal cord injury.

Her research involves collaboration with neuroscience researchers at the  Centre for Neuroscience and Trauma, Blizard Institute, Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London and, in 2106, we granted Alba funding to attend a key course at Rutgers The State University of New Jersey, US.
