Claudia received her BSc Hons in Neuroscience from King's College London in 2010 during which she had placements in the labs of Professor C Shaw (genetic and molecular mechanisms in familial motor neurone disease), Professor G Raisman and Mr David Choi (Olfactory ensheathing cells). 

Her final year was spent in Professor L Bradbury's lab working on chondroitinase ABC to reduce the growth inhibitory extracellular matrix associated with the glial scar after spinal cord injury, the subject of her dissertation.
