You are here: NRB Eilidh McLachlan
After completing her BSc in Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the University of Strathclyde Eilidh went on to study for an MRes on Biomedical Sciences specialising in Integrative Systems and Mammalian Biology at University of Glasgow.
During her Masters Eilidh worked with Dr John Riddell at Glasgow studying the role of the reticulospinal tract in recovery of forelimb function after spinal cord injury.
In 2015, Eilidh joined Prof Simone Di Giovanni's lab at Imperial College London for her PhD funded by Spinal Research. Her research focusses on understanding the molecular and epigenic mechanisms associated with axon regeneration.
Extensive insight into the molecular and genetic events that drive axonal regeneration is essential to advance therapeutics currently available.
