Esther - Spinal Research

Esther

Spinal Research Ambassador

After an accident in 1985, Esther’s Dad suffered a spinal cord injury. During his time at the hospital, Esther became acutely aware of how patient’s lives were affected by spinal cord injury.

“It hit home how everyone in the units life changed for ever in just a few split seconds”

Fast forward 25 years, Esther is now learning to use her own wheelchair due to arthritis in her back and legs.

She says, “I am passionate about trying to help raise money and awareness for spinal research in order that people’s quality of life can be improved”
