Today, Spinal Research is proud to join charities across the UK to mark Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day (SCIAD), bringing together the spinal cord injury community to raise awareness and share real experiences.

We’re collaborating with ten other spinal cord injury charities to raise awareness of paralysis through our social media channels.

Spinal Research has chosen to shine a light on the lived experiences of people affected by spinal cord injury. Spinal Research ambassadors, Laura and Paul, answer some of the most common questions that are asked about spinal injury in a video to be shared on social media.

SCIAD is also a moment to highlight progress in research. As new treatments begin to emerge, there is growing optimism about what the future could hold, but continued support and collaboration remain essential to move science forward.
