Renowned for its stunning scenery, challenging course and vibrant atmosphere, thousands of runners flock to the Big Sur International Marathon from around the world to experience the rugged California coastline. Embark on a 26.2 mile journey through redwood forests, along the cliffs and past Bixby Bridge for a race that’ll leave you breathless in more ways than one. FAQs:

Is there a minimum age for taking part in the Big Sur International Marathon?

Yes, all participants in the Big Sur International Marathon must be aged 16 or older on Marathon Day.

What is the registration fee and how much do I have to fundraise?

The registration fee for the Big Sur International Marathon is £49.00 and we ask all our charity place fundraisers to raise a minimum of £2,000.00.

Please note that you have a first fundraising target of £1,000 due on the 14th March 2025.

 

Will I get a fundraising top to wear on the day?

Absolutely, we love to send our team a technical t-shirt to wear during the run. We will even get you an iron on name so you can personalise it.

 

How will I get my race pack?

You will need to collect your race pack from their Expo, which usually runs from the Friday to Saturday before the event. Make sure you allow time to collect the pack during your race day planning.

Can I race in a wheelchair?

Unfortunately not. Due to the nature of the course, The Big Sur International Marathon is unable to offer places to wheelchair runners. Please click here to find wheelchair accessible events.
