Starting from Goodwood Racecourse, the route takes you along the coastal path of Chichester Harbour AONB, through the picturesque ancient village of Bosham and winds along the River Arun, past Arundel Castle and up along the South Downs Way before heading back to the finish line at Goodwood.
With 50km and 100km options, this challenge is perfect for everyone regardless of your fitness level. You will be treated like royalty on your journey with fully stocked pitstops, laden with food and drinks, an overnight Basecamp at Goodwood Racecourse, and tireless support from the crew and medics.

How does Race to the King work?
Race to the King is the ultramarathon that works for you.
50km or 100km, coast or castle, the choice is yours. You can walk, jog or run your chosen distance in an event designed to suit all fitness levels. Apply now and choose the options that appeal to you and we’ll get the ball rolling on your Spinal Research journey.
Is there a minimum age to enter the Race to the King?
Yes, all participants must be aged 18 or older.
What is the registration fee and how much do I have to fundraise?
The registration fee for the Race to the King starts at £30.00 (distance dependent) and we ask all our charity place fundraisers to raise a minimum of £300.00 (distance dependent).
Will I get a fundraising top to wear on the day?
Absolutely, we love to send our team a technical t-shirt to wear during the run. We will even get you an iron on name so you can personalise it.

Can I take part in a wheelchair?
Unfortunately due to the nature of the event and the route, Race to the King is not open to wheelchair runners.
