FAQs

How does Race to the Stones work?

Race to the Stones is the ultramarathon that works for you.

50km or 100km, one day or two, to camp or not to camp, the choice is yours. You can walk, jog or run your chosen distance in an event designed to suit all fitness levels. Apply now and choose the options that appeal to you and we’ll get the ball rolling on your Spinal Research journey.

Is there a minimum age to enter the Race to the Stones?

Yes, all participants must be aged 18 or older.

What is the registration fee and how much do I have to fundraise?

The registration fee for the Race to the Stones starts at £40.00 (distance dependent) and we ask all our charity place fundraisers to raise a minimum of £300.00 (distance dependent).

Will I get a fundraising top to wear on the day?

Absolutely, we love to send our team a technical t-shirt to wear during the run. We will even get you an iron on name so you can personalise it.

These are sent out in time for your event, and our team will be in touch to confirm details.

Can I take part in a wheelchair?

Unfortunately due to the nature of the event and the route, Race to the Stones is not open to wheelchair runners.

Please click here to find wheelchair accessible events you can participate in with Spinal Research.

I have a ballot place and would like to fundraise for Spinal Research. Can I do this and will I have a fundraising target?

Congratulations on securing a place in the ballot – we would love to have you join #TeamSpinal! Please email our Events Team to let us know!

As an own place runner, you won’t have a fundraising target. We just ask that you raise as much as possible so you can to help us fund essential research.
