Those living in the UK will be able to provide further details about their injury and can be matched with carefully chosen trial opportunities.
How often will I get updates from the service?
Our Trial Tracker newsletter will be sent to all on a monthly basis. Participants based in the UK will be able to receive updates about new trials that may be of interest. These will be sent as new trials become available.
Does signing up commit me to participate in a trial?
Signing up simply keeps you informed about new trials and the latest developments in spinal cord injury research.
If you meet the eligibility criteria set by a clinical trial and are based in the UK, we will notify you via email with the details of the trial and how you can express your interest or apply to participate directly.
If you decide to apply for a study, you’ll typically contact the research team directly using the information provided in the notification email. All subsequent communications regarding the trial will take place directly between you and the relevant research team.
Why do you ask for my medical data?
Those based in the UK will have the opportunity to share further details about their injury such as your injury classification, neurological level, and any relevant medical history. This data ensures precise matching with suitable UK trials.
Can I discontinue the service at any time?
Yes, you can opt out of the registry at any time. You can do this by contacting us via the contact information provided on our website, and we will remove your data from our system according to GDPR guidelines.
How is my information safeguarded?
Your data is not shared with external researchers or any third party without your explicit consent. Researchers can request to send information to potentially eligible participants, but they cannot access your data directly. Spinal Research will send this information on behalf of researchers to those who match the trial criteria.
Your data is stored in a highly secure database using advanced encryption technologies and managed in strict accordance with GDPR and other applicable data protection standards.
